| Art for Aspergers, LLC was founded by Anne
Winsauer in 2008 to serve East Tennessee's special
education needs. The increase in diagnosed autistic
behavior in minor children and the growing awareness
of the benefits of visual learning techniques
spurred Anne to the development of a specialized art
curriculum. Years of graphic design experience and
elementary teaching has enabled Mrs. Winsauer to
patiently assess, evaluate and respond to the
immediate needs of her students.
Anne is a native of Knoxville and a graduate of The
University of Tennessee in Fine Arts and
Communication Design. Graduate work in educational
technology and a 35-year career in graphic design
and education have combined in a unique love of
working with high-functioning autistic children and
Asperger's students. Anne has been married to John
Winsauer for thirty-one years.
Mary Catherine Lewis was born near Little Rock,
Arkansas. She is a graduate of the University of
Arkansas in Public Relations. Mary Catherine is
pursuing a graduate degree in Special Education at
Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee. |
